Barangaroo Town Planning
Sustainability is a big issue for my Barangaroo Town Planning. My initial target is to design Barangaroo as a high population density district. Barangaroo is located edge of Sydney CBD. There is convenient existing public transportation systems in the city centre compare to other suburbs. The new extension of the existing public transportation system in my proposal is very efficient compare to build new infrastructure in other suburb to accommodate growing population of Sydney. By placing more work places in Barangaroo, there is a high chance to promote public transport usage. Especially when there will be no private vehicle facilities provided. Also high density residential apartments in Barangaroo will encourage people to walk to their work places without any transportation.
Site specific town planning is integrated in Barangaroo to achieve maximum passive cooling system. The streets are designed along north-south line to provide the water view and to get access of cool breeze from the sea. The crossing streets are 30 degree rotated to west and east from north to minimise sunlight access during summer and maximise sunlight access into building during winter.
The Barangaroo provides high quality life style atmosphere with sufficient public and semi-public spaces. Public transport system accesses along north-south in Barangaroo which facilitate express travel. The north-east and the north-west direction streets were designed mainly for pedestrians. Plenty quantity of semi-public spaces were provided for the occupants.

Recycling Centre and Vertical Park
Recycling Centre is located underground to keep the Barangaroo environment pleasant from bad odour and visual distraction of the waste. High technology underground recycling centre is designed very efficiently. The vertical park on top of the recycling centre gives hint of existence of the recycling centre. Sydney Hyde Park equivalent sized vertical park will accommodate various events and huge population and will become another landmark in Sydney.
